Phil Butler serves as the Volunteer Program Manager at the Hill Aerospace Museum. Prior to joining the full-time staff at the Museum in June 2023, Phil was a volunteer and docent for 10 years. Phil started his government service as a radio operator for the U.S. Marines for 13 years. He then joined the Air National Guard as Intelligence Officer Aircrew and culminated his military career after more than 33 years with over 1200 flight hours, nearly all in C-130 Hercules. A lifelong student of airpower history, the Museum is a natural fit. Phil holds a Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management from Park University. He is married to Tracey and has two children and two grandchildren. His favorite Museum aircraft is the RB-57 Canberra due to its service history as an intelligence collection platform.
